Unique Borrowers
Bitcoin prices come from multiple independent feeders run by Libre block producers, each drawing on a different price data provider. The contract takes the median of their reports (at least 3 required), rejecting any feed that deviates more than 10% — so no single operator can move the price. Feeds refresh roughly every 30 seconds, and loans will never liquidate on a price older than 5 minutes: if the feed goes stale, liquidations pause until it recovers.

Protection Window
BTC fell from $90K to $61K on Feb 5 — a 52% drawdown from its all-time high — then recovered above $70K within 24 hours. Because liquidation requires a sustained 72-hour breach, all six February liquidations were under $600. Across the protocol's life, 9 loans have been liquidated: eight small positions and one larger ($16.9K) during the November 2025 drawdown.
Stress Test History
72-Hour Protection
Price must breach the threshold for a sustained 72h before liquidation executes — time for borrowers to add collateral or repay.
1% Liquidation Discount
Liquidated BTC is sold 1% below market rate — an opportunity for traders to absorb supply as Libre scales.
Contract-Enforced
Smart contracts execute every loan, renewal, and liquidation automatically. Contract upgrades are governed by a 3-of-5 board multisig — no single party can intervene.
